FINALLY are expanding rapidly in terms of size and the range of services offered to our clients. We are looking to hire a switched-on, energetic developer, to be an integral part of our team.

Who are you?
You have at least 3 years’ experience and know how to create inspiring websites and applications, to a high standard.

As a Front-End Developer, your main responsibility is for the production, modification and maintenance of websites and web applications. This involves working closely with designers, in using semantic mark-up language i.e. HTML/CSS to turn their static Photoshop / XD designs into working browser based web pages.

You’ll also work closely with server-side developers to implement APIs to help create complex, interactive web applications. You will be expected to work with 3rd party platforms such as Wordpress and Magento and be able to quickly pick up new technologies as the need arises.

What skills do you need?
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and SCSS (or similar pre-processors).
• Confidence with Javascript and jQuery.
• Experience with an SPA Framework (such as Angular, React, etc) a big plus.
• Knowledge of build tools and versioning (git).
• Most importantly, enthusiasm and a passion for web.
• Knowledge and experience of Magento and Wordpress a benefit

What does the job involve?
This is an exciting and wide-ranging role and will include the following:

• Providing accurate timing estimates on work.
• Contributing to documentation (instructional, pitch and technical specification)
• Training other non-technical staff particularly designers on what is possible.
• Contributing to the company development standards working closely with the Head of Development.
• Occasionally discussing technical solutions with clients and providing innovative new ideas to solutions.
• Maintaining a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, and keep team members informed as appropriate, with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market and position yourself and the company as a digital specialist.
• Constantly seeking to develop yourself by learning new technologies and keeping abreast of your markets developments.
