We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated, creative Community Fundraiser to join our well-respected and much loved local hospice charity at The Wisdom Hospice. You will be based in Rochester supporting the communities of Medway and Swale.

We are looking for a self-starter, someone who is proactive who will motivate and inspire our donors and supporters building strong, lasting relationships through their fundraising journey that will generate income to help The Friends reach our fundraising targets.

Working with the fundraising team you will assist in maximising income from both traditional events and online community fundraising platforms. You will assist individuals and groups who take part in national or their own organised events to realise their goals ensuring they have a memorable experience. You must be able to produce and work to a budget for each event.

A good multitasker you will be able to demonstrate good time management skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines. You will be highly motivated with excellent communication skills and a passion for working with people to achieve success.

We are looking for someone from a community fundraising background who is passionate about the charity, who can hit the ground running. You will need to be well organised, a good time manager, possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate and inspire others to raise funds to make a difference to the lives of our hospice patients. We are willing to consider those with transferable skills with a real passion and desire to get into community fundraising.

The role will require you to have a good local knowledge and to travel throughout Medway & Swale, so you must hold a full licence and have your own transport.

To apply for this position please email your current CV together with a covering letter confirming telling us what makes you the perfect addition to our team. Please also confirm your salary expectations and outline your relevant skills and experience including the extent to which these meet the criteria for our vacancy.
