A position is available for an enthusiastic manager responsible for leading, inspiring and managing the pre-school staff on a day-to-day basis. We are looking for someone exceptional to lead the pre-school forward and build upon its progress and successes.
Southborough Pre-school is a charity run pack-away term-time pre-school. We have close ties with the local community and deliver outstanding care and education in a safe, friendly and stimulating environment for children aged 2-5 years. We have gained a great reputation within the local community and in our last Ofsted inspection received an outstanding outcome.
The post is part time with a working week of 27.5 hours per week. Pay is calculated according to our Pay scale. If you are successfully shortlisted we will need to obtain two references prior to interview, which will be held week commencing 14th May 2018.
Responsibilities
• To have a clear vision for the continued development and growth of the pre-school.
• To oversee the day to day running of the pre-school.
• To implement the Early Years Foundation Stage and oversee planning needed to provide a high quality teaching & learning environment.
• To be responsible for the development and daily management of staff and volunteers and work closely with the Committee in managing
the setting.
You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience
• Relevant experience in a managerial or supervisory post in an early years setting
• Ideally qualified to EYPS but with a minimum qualification of Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare Development with a willingness to
obtain further qualifications
• A knowledge and understanding of the role of SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
• GCSE Grade C in English Language
• Excellent communication skills
• Possess or be willing to obtain a Paediatric First aid certificate
• Sound knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage
• Eligible to work in the UK
