All Access Limited is looking to recruit a HGV Fitter / Mechanic who will report to the Operations Manager. The overall purpose of this role is to repair and maintain HGV and LGV vehicles including VOSA Compliant Inspections. The company currently operate 30 Vehicles with approx.12 of these being HGV. Key job areas are servicing and MOT preparation, body repairs and basic fault finding.

Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake standard vehicle/equipment inspections, services and repairs
• Undertake Ministry inspections
• Diagnose and rectify electrical and mechanical faults
• Working independently attending and managing routine servicing, site breakdowns and ensuring all repairs are controlled and rectified efficiently
• Participate in providing standby and call-out cover
• Ensure all correct paperwork is completed and accurate records maintained
• Ensuring work load is prioritised and deadlines met
• Comply with Health and Safety policy and guidance documents
• Adopt safe methods of working
• Taking vehicles to MOT Test Stations Ordering and taking delivery of parts
• Keep up with VOSA (Transport) legislation to ensure that the company is fully compliant
• Ordering and taking delivery of parts

Key Skills and Qualifications
• Experienced fitter with chassis and MOT preparation experience
• Previous experience of working HGV, basic welding, hydraulic and auto electrical skills are desirable but not essential
• Understanding of VOSA (Transport) regulations (VOSA certificate desirable)
• Knowledge of vehicle inspection standards and scheduled maintenance requirements
• Able to work well and safely as part of a team
• Able to demonstrate initiative and work unsupervised
• Able to work to tight deadlines, paying close attention to detail
• Driving Licence essential

The role will require a flexible approach to hours as overtime may be required dependent on the job, and the role will include attending breakdowns when necessary
