Due to an increase in business within our restaurant and Bed and Breakfast, we are looking to recruit a senior CDP. We are looking for a chef with a minimum of 2 years experience in kitchen management preferably in a fresh food restaurant. We offer a fantastic salary DOE and also good scope for career progression and further training. Being able to cook quality local ingredients to the highest standard in a busy kitchen is essential and applicants will need to show their skills to our head and sous chefs in a trial service. We welcome chefs to also bring their ideas to the menus and weekly changing specials boards. Previous experience in running a kitchen in the absence of the head and sous chefs is also a must. We have a team of 8 very talented and passionate chefs here at The Black Horse Inn and we are looking for another equally 'foodie' chef to join the team. We work our rota so each chef has one weekend off per month plus 3 evenings per week and offer 5.5 weeks holiday per year.
As a family run business we also close on Christmas Day and only open for lunch Boxing Day so we are very family orientated with our staff. We also have a very successful wedding venue so knowledge of rational catering is also desirable but training on this can be given. We are rural so own transport is essential as we are not on any public transport routes, sorry we do not offer live in.
