Life feels better when you love your job…

Here at Vanquis we do, and it’s what we believe has contributed most to our success.

Our business has grown so much since we started in 2002 and we believe that we have achieved this by encouraging our employees to put ideas forward, make decisions and constantly improve the service we provide for our customers.

Working to protect the Bank and our Customers the Fraud team monitor all activities from applications through to card usage to ensure safety and security.

The Disputes team are now looking for a new member!

We are looking for an individual to handle customer disputes within the bank. Working within a small team of disputes agents you will review and work all new disputes cases assigned to you.

You will analyse the information provided by the customer to decipher whether they have a valid claim and if so investigate and assess the claim, identifying the right course of action to take to successfully resolve the claim.

You will take ownership of that claim from the date the claim is raised through to resolution. Part of the claims process will involve processing chargebacks according to Visa Rules and Regulations, inputting data into the Visa On-Line system to support the chargeback and dealing with any subsequent represented chargebacks accurately and within Visa timeframes. In addition some complex cases will require you to become involved in Pre-Arbitration, Arbitration, Pre Compliance and Compliance.

You will process monetary transactions and deal with various reject reports, taking appropriate action to remedy accounts and where necessary work closely with Finance to achieve the correct result.

This is a busy role for people who are organised, methodical and can work using their own initiative. This is an excellent opportunity to develop industry skills and knowledge in relation to all the stages of Dispute Resolution.

Skills and Experience

• Knowledge of the Credit Card industry or previous experience in a disputes environment would be advantageous although full training will be given
• You’ll be educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in English and Maths
• You’ll have excellent organisational skills
• You’ll have excellent keyboard skills
• You’ll have the ability to meet strict deadlines
• You are determined and resilient
• You’ll have a patient and methodical approach to your work
• You’ll be able to use your own initiative and excellent attention to detail
• You’ll be flexible and adaptable to the types of work expected of you
• You’ll have excellent communication skills and be able to respond to customers claims verbally and in writing
• You will have the ability to understand where your role fits within the customer lifecycle and a willingness and desire to understand Visa’s dispute resolution process from beginning to end

If this sounds like the role for you please apply at our website:

http://www.vanquiscareers.co.uk/_ats/

Please note: Once the closing date has been reached we will review all CVs. Should we wish to progress your application we will contact you within four weeks of the closing date. If you do not hear from us within four weeks of the closing date, unfortunately, your application has been unsuccessful.

On occasion we identify alternative roles that may be suitable for applicants and therefore we may retain your CV for up to 6 months for this purpose. If you do not wish us to contact you or hold your CV on file for 6 months please contact us.

We welcome applications from every area of the community, regardless of age, gender, race, nationality, colour, ethnic origin, disability, sexuality, religion or beliefs, and believe that everyone should be treated fairly and consistently. We are TCF (Treating Customers Fairly) ambassadors and believe that everything we do as a company should benefit our customers.
