Our very busy client based in Longfield in Kent is looking for a Lead Engineer with immediate effect. The Purpose of this job is to successfully manage and lead operatives and projects through to completion. The ideal applicant should have the ability and skill level to commissioning and fault find on all manufactures systems. They will need to be extremely confident to talk to manufactures and senior engineers if they are unsure and enabling them to find a solution. Liaising with site agent will be required via computer, phone and email.

CSCS or Skill Card will be required. Ideally you will have Fgas qualification (also known as 2079 regulations or NVG 2 in Air Conditioning)
All applying applicants will need to be able to drive due to work locations. Must have experience in Air conditioning Install.

All engineers meet at certain locations and will be picked up in company vans.

Salary is between 21K - £45 (Based on the experience that the applicant has)

Key Responsibilities

- Assign and delegate appropriate tasks to Craftsman, Installers, Mate and Apprentices
- Supervisory responsibilities of Craftsman, Installers, Mate and Apprentices
- Commission and fault find.
- Able to carry out tasks on the project as well as completing paper work
- Carry out Tool Box Talks.
- Understand and comply with H&S
- Monitor and work hours on site.
- Complete relevant site paper work on a daily process.
- Be able to pressure test and vac systems, including relevant paper work
- Ability to understand manufactures schematics and ability to work within compliance of equipment used.
- Re-deploy operatives accordingly to achieve optimum productivity
- Decide methods to be used and instruct other operatives accordingly
- Ensure any variations to work do not proceed without gaining authority
- Maintain site contract control procedure
- Make sure that the supply of necessary equipment and materials to operatives is enough
- Promote the care, safeguard, maintenance of employers tools and materials and ensure that operatives are taking reasonable steps to do
this.
- Day to day liaison about programme of work with the main contractor and other sub contractors
- Inspect and review progress of operatives and sub contractors work
- Monitor progress to ensure that the agreed programme of work is met
- Measure and record progress of work
- Inspect the work of operatives for quality, progress and satisfactory completion
- Check weekly progress against programme of work and identify deviations
- Notify office of impending delays likely to affect progress
- Establish reasons for any delays and notify office
- Provide information for cost variation investigations when necessary
- Forecast and communicate labour requirements
- Ensure company instructions and standards of discipline, workmanship and safety are maintained on site
