A highly regarded company based in Tunbridge Wells is currently looking for a Legal Secretary to join their outstanding team. For someone with an interest in legal matters and a conscientious approach to work, this may just be your ideal next role.
Key skills and responsibilities:
• Ensuring the smooth flow of documents and correspondence in and out of the department
• Word processing all necessary documents from hand-written notes or transcribing recorded dictation
• Scanning, emailing and faxing correspondence and documents
• Undertaking file management -opening and closing files, photocopying and filing
• Maintaining stationary and other supplies
• Answering the telephone, handling calls and if necessary routing calls and taking messages
• Managing Fee Earners diaries, organising internal and external meetings
• Supporting other members of the team in the performance of their duties
• Providing support to other secretaries in the department or across the firm
The ideal candidate must have excellent IT skills, in particular Word, although Excel would also be desirable. In addition to this, strong telephone skills and a confidence in working around figures is also required.
