The role which is Tunbridge Wells based will involve providing secretarial assistance to fee earners within the Private Client department. This role is a permanent job-share position working part-time. The standard hours will be 22.5 per week, working Monday to Friday of each week 13:00 – 17:30. This role would suit somebody with prior Legal Secretarial experience however you do not need experience in a Private Client department.
Main duties;
- Ensuring the smooth flow of documents and correspondence in and out of the department
- Word processing all necessary documents from hand-written notes or by transcribing recorded dictation.
- Scanning, emailing and faxing correspondence and documents as required
- Undertaking file management including opening and closing files, photocopying and filing all relevant documents.
- Maintaining stationary and other supplies and providing refreshments
- Answering the telephone, handling calls and if necessary routing calls and taking messages
- Managing Fee Earners diaries, organising internal and external meetings
- Supporting other members of the team in the performance of their duties
