An exciting opportunity has risen for our client who are looking for a part-time Warehouse Assistant based in Medway to manage day to day operations in a warehouse environment using personal initiative.

**Must have warehouse experience and a Health & Safety accreditation**

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following is a list of general job responsibilities for the Warehouse Specialist position. This list is not all-inclusive and may be broadened or changed to meet changing business needs.

*Manage the day to day operation of our warehouse space, maximising efficiencies wherever possible.
*Work directly with the project services and media teams to ensure forecasted projects and consumer requirements and deliveries can be accommodated, providing budget feedback to sales and the projects team where necessary.
*Responsible for ensuring general stock levels are kept to a sensible minimum, prioritising commonly used or hard to obtain hardware and using accurate projections obtained through operations meetings.
*To receive and act upon consumer requirements from the client services and technical service team and configure and provision media consumers in time for dispatch to meet project timelines or service SLAs.
*Work with Project Services and the media team to obtain international logistics quotes in an accurate and timely manner.
*To ensure our stock software is kept up to date and 100% accurate, whilst providing excellent overview to the Project Services for procurement efficiency.
*To provide timely feedback to Project Services on equipment not yet received and outstanding so as to prevent delays in ongoing projects.
*To understand and put into effect all relevant health and safety measures as required by the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
*Participate in weekly operations meetings.
*Organising, packaging and labelling of outgoing items, both large and small, domestically and internationally.
*Assist in obtaining legal documentation and certification for international shipments where necessary.
*Recommend change procedures, new processes and new suppliers to increase efficiency and reduce cost wherever possible.
*Support all general warehouse duties as needed

Experience/Education
*Minimum of one year's experience in a technology based logistics role would be preferred, but not required.
*Relevant H&S accreditation
*Experience in over haling current department and implementing rigid Health & Safety standards

Required Skills and Abilities
*Understanding of technology trends
*Ability to consolidate information using various software into professional documentation for manager review.
*Proficiency with MS Office Suite and MS Windows based environments.
*Excellent organisational, human relations and communication (verbal and written) skills
*Ability to prioritise effectively and manage your own day-to-day workload whilst managing the expectations of others efficiently and professionally.
*Able to complete objectives while utilising an approach consistent with the organisations guiding principles
*Adaptability for learning and change

Travel
Whilst this is an office based role, travel to and from client or supplier locations may be expected from time to time. Own transport is preferred but not essential.
