Commercial Cleaning Business Development Manager

Salary on Offer: (£40,000 + DOE)

Brief Overview:

We are actively recruiting for an experienced Business Development Manager specialising within commercial cleaning for a growing contract cleaning company covering London and the South East. We are a rapid expanding commercial cleaning business that prides ourselves on an impeccable service record.

Duties and Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for sales of company services in Central London / Home Counties. You will drive profitable growth in the area through winning new business and will have a proven track record of developing and winning new corporate business.

The Role Itself:

• Able to listen to customer requirements and present appropriately to make a sale.
• Able to produce quotations, tender documents and carry out site surveys.
• Negotiate on price, costs and specifications with buyers and managers.
• Make accurate, rapid cost calculations and provide customers with competitive quotations.
• Create detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process that is largely dictated by the prospective customer.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails.
• Cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect new business.
• Act as a contact between the company and its existing and potential markets.
• Record sales and order information, sending copes to relevant departments.
• Completion of accurate weekly sales activity reports.
• Attend team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues.
• Review your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets.
• Adhere to the company’s standards and policies when speaking to clients.
• Represent the organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.

Personal Experience:

• Minimum of two years’ experience selling commercial cleaning contracts.
• Previous experience in a similar role within the commercial cleaning industry.
• Target driven, determined and highly motivated to develop new business and increase both profitability and the company client base.
• A proven background of success in the industry with strong communication skills.
• Ability to communicate with clients and personnel at all levels.
• Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
• Good knowledge of the tendering and outbound sales process.
• Good knowledge of the region.
• UK Driving Licence essential due to the nature of the role.
