Customer Services Advisor - 12 month contract - although may go permanent after this time

ROLE SUMMARY

The job holder will need to work as a team member, to balance customer demands with company interests and provide a superior service to the trade, interfacing with internal departments, the sales force and customers. They will support the Customer Service Team leader and management in providing accurate, timely and value added data on customer accounts

Job role:

* All orders received are accurately processed for the business in a timely fashion. This includes the management of orders received via post and telephone, for order input, stock allocation and order release.
* All credits are raised against returns, authorisations, shortages, refused orders, prices queries and retro funding in line with specific account procedures and agreed credit authorisation limits.
* Monitor received orders against forecast and release in line with the business calendar to ensure on delivery dates are met.
* Monitor and support all customer orders through to delivery working with other departments and outside organisations as necessary.
* Working to a target system, with strict month
* To build and sustain excellent industry, market and brand knowledge and awareness.
* To represent Customer Services at internal and external meetings as necessary and keep the team updated.
* To process debit notes quickly and accurately.
* To assist the team in the day to day order to delivery processes as necessary.
* To provide training for holiday cover and sick leave, as well as cross-training with team colleagues.
* To assist in the creation and maintenance of department procedures.
* To attend training programmes both internal and external as and when required.
* To ensure filing systems are maintained, work station and office remain tidy.
* To liaise with all customers (internal departments and customers) to ensure service levels are met.
* To provide management reports as required.
* To inform management of any problems or issues that affects the Company or department's performance.



Skills, Experience and Behaviours



* Previous customer services skills over the phone
* Conscientious, enthusiastic, and work to a high level of quality and integrity.
* Excellent communication skills verbal and written. Must have the ability to communicate facts in a clear & persuasive manner.
* Self-motivated and able to efficiently manage a varied portfolio of responsibilities.
* Telephone skills essential - polite and firm.
* High degree of numeracy and analysis
* Demonstrates a strong sense of individual accountability
* Is committed to deliver results, goes after the stretch target
* Is resilient and flexible, adapts to new challenges
* Remains focused on priorities while tackling obstacles
* Is passionate, enthusiastic and has fun in work achievement
* Thrives on challenges and keeps a healthy attitude under pressure
* Communicates effectively; delivers impactful presentations, says what's on mind, goes to the point
* Experience working with SAP and Microsoft packages would be an advantage.
