The Mainstream Group are an established independent provider of training and recruitment solutions based in Sittingbourne.

Following continued expansion and success, Mainstream are pleased to be recruiting for a Learner Engagement Officer to join their Training Team. Focusing on learner recruitment for their alternative provision funding, the ideal candidate will have a good working knowledge of unemployed provision and the 'learner engagement experience'.

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that learners are brought on board in a timely and efficient manner, administrative paperwork is completed to a high standard and that learners are given accurate Information, Advice and guidance (IAG).

Core Duties & Responsibilities;

• Responsible for the timely and effective management of learner’s enrolments for programmes throughout Kent

• Daily presence in local Job Centres conducting information, advice and guidance

• Responsible for completing enrolment paperwork to funding guidelines and final checks on the authenticity of learners making sure they
have chosen the right qualification for them

• Engaging effectively with learners by telephone, email and face to face so that they understand clearly the benefits of our courses

• Give relevant IAG to the learners so they understand the journey that they are taking

• To increase awareness and promotion of all our provision to Job Centres, including attending adviser team meetings

• Follow learners through their journey with us, from initial contact to progression outcomes

• To attend Careers events throughout Kent

The ideal candidate will be a smart, presentable and excellent communicator with the ability to be both informative and sympathetic. The ability to work on your own initiative is a must as you will often be unsupervised.

Based in Sittingbourne, the core hours of work are 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday and there will be a company vehicle provided for day to day activities.
