Salary: £23,903 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks a year

We currently have an exciting opening in our Apprenticeship and Training department for a Greenkeeping and Sports Turf Assessor. Under the direction of the Lead IQA & Team Leader the individual’s primary role will be to carry out work based teaching, learning and assessment across venues in Kent and the South-East of England.
As well as being self-motivated, resourceful and resilient, the successful candidate will need:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in greenkeeping or sports turf.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the Sports’ Turf Industry.
- Assessor Award (A1), TAQA equivalent or willingness to study towards this qualification.
- Teaching qualification at L5 or above or complete the qualification on appointment.
- Level 2 English and Maths.
- Ability to be a role model, inspire students and a genuine passion for teaching.
- Proficient with ICT, complete detailed accurate records and administration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to help employers and engage students.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
- A rigorous understanding and application of health and safety.
- Ability to embrace Hadlow College core values and promote well-being of students.
- Positive attitude and commitment to embracing CPD.
As well as a contributory pension scheme, health cash plan and free car parking, this post also attracts 35 days annual leave each year (excluding bank holidays).
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
