Our established GMP client requires an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their Engineering department.
As the Maintenance Technician the role will involve:
• Issue and comply with equipment, department and room maintenance schedules.
• Work on a variety of plant and equipment to include:
Plant and equipment breakdowns and installations with some calibrations
Mechanical tasks such as air handling plant, manufacturing and research equipment
Minor building repairs as required to include such things as ceiling tiles, tube replacements, painting damaged walls, taps washers etc
Assist the production/research teams by setting up and making safe the SFE
Be the lead Engineer for the Commercial Filling and Packaging Operation
Support the Production facility at sister site in Kent
• Service and respond to maintenance breakdown while maintaining compliance with equipment validation, where required.
• Perform the Installation Qualification (IQ) and Operational Qualification (OQ) of new plant and equipment and assist with the Performance Qualification (PQ)
• Provide operator training and technical support where necessary
• Create SOP’s, internal service reports and machine setting sheets for new equipment and update existing as required
To be considered for the Maintenance Technician role suitable candidates will:
• Be a qualified mechanical or M/E Technician with C&G trade certification and have proven pharmaceutical (GMP) experience, preferably in the manufacturing environment
• Have gained experience within a similar role ideally within a regulated environment
• Have experience of working under a ISO9000 Quality standards
• Have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• In addition, experience in a pharmaceutical API or packaging facility is an advantage
• Experience of CAD/CAM products would be an advantage.
Salary is dependant upon skills and experience. The hours are 9-5:30, 40 hours per week.
