Our Client based in Tunbridge Wells is looking for a Part-time Finance Supervisor to join their team. They are a small but complex operation and their accounting ranges from health care, hotel, catering, retail & property. This role would be ideal for a candidate who has accounting competence and experience and who is looking for a role that is interesting & varied.



Key Responsibilities:

To Supervise the accounts team

*6 staff members including 3 volunteers. Line management, staff development and appraisals



To ensure that the bookkeeping is well controlled and up to date

*Working both hands-on and through the team

*Using Sage 50 as the principal accounting system, supported by Excel & referring to HR/Payroll systems

*Performing and reviewing reconciliations

*Quarterly VAT returns



To produce monthly management accounts

*Management accounts produced in Excel using download from Sage

*Regular meetings with department heads to look at their management accounts



To work with the Director of Corporate Services with regard to wider financial management, reporting and control

*Cash flow management

*Budgeting & forecasting

*Year end statutory accounts and liaison with auditors

*Preparation of papers for Finance & Audit Committee



Charity experience desirable but not essential

Candidate must have minimum qualification of AAT Level 3 or CIMA Level 2 or equivalents

Hours of work - 22.5 per week. Flexible and could be spread over 3, 4 or 5 weekdays
