Port Lympne Reserve is undoubtedly one of the UK’s hidden gems that really should be on everyone’s ‘must do that’ list. Spanning 600 acres of beautiful countryside, with stunning views, Port Lympne is the only wild animal park in Europe to offer unique short breaks, where guests can wake up surrounded by animals, go on safari, enjoy once in a lifetime animal encounters and most importantly be part of real conservation in action.

At Port Lympne Reserve we require a Restaurant Manager for our unique restaurants which serve our guests staying at our Short Breaks overnight accommodation experiences, this includes an authentic Italian restaurant, high end dining and our award-winning wedding and event.

The Role:
We are looking for motivated individuals who understand the importance of excellent customer service. Your duties will include: recruit, train and develop a talented and exceptional team, manage and order supplies, ensure compliance with licencing, hygiene and health & safety legislation. You will also be responsible for handling customer enquiries, implementation and management of the reservations system, as well as liaising with senior management to set targets.

The person:
You will have previous experience in a management or senior supervisory role within a national restaurant chain or independent restaurant. You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written, along with excellent organisational and management skills. You must be able to multi task and use your own initiative. A meticulous approach to work with an understanding of the importance of attention to detail is essential. You must have a proven track record of the ability to form and maintain good working relationships and be a brilliant team player. Ideally you will be calm under pressure, and able to deliver a high standard of customer service.

A valid driving licence is required for this role.

The role is full time working 40 hours per week, five days out of seven including weekends and bank holidays.
