Hours of Work: 07:30am – 19:30pm rolling 4 on 4 off shift pattern with a degree of flexibility required in order to meet the demands of the business.

After 3 years of phenomenal growth we are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable individual to lead the intake quality team in the pro-active management of our day shift, ensuring all product arriving on site is checked against customer requirements and reported accurately.
We are an agile fresh produce service provider transitioning out of start-up phase and with solid growth plans in place we are creating a structure for sustainable success. We want our people to love being part of the team, creating an environment where development, challenge and engagement with the business and our customers businesses are core to our strategy; therefore we need some special people to help make it all happen.
Partnering with the QC management team and our customers the main responsibilities include:
• Manage intake quality team
• Ensure that accurate QA reports are completed and input on the system
• To work safely and report any hazards or near misses
• Maintain hygiene standards with the QC controlled areas
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the specifications required for each customer and product line
• Ensure that all temperature logs and recorders are identified, downloaded and sent to the customer with the QC reports
• Ensure that in the instance that a potential claim is identified that the Customer is contacted and are supplied with the QA reports prior to sending information to the suppliers
• Ensure that the Customers required quality standards are efficiently and effectively maintained at all times
• Effectively communicate to customers and suppliers where necessary
• Ensure that equipment is correctly calibrated and all faulty or damaged equipment is reported to the QC Manager.
• Provide training for new members of the intake QC team included temporary agency staff
• To work efficiently and effectively ensuring that you contribute to the daily Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) of the department as set by the Quality Control Manager and the needs of the business.
• To maintain high levels of health, safety, hygiene and housekeeping (clean as you go)
What we are looking for:
• Experience of supervising a team, including training of existing and new team members
• Experience of working in fresh produce or warehousing environment
• Experience of maximising staff productivity through effective motivation of team and updating team on performance against KPI’s
• Ability to influence and persuade
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• HACCP qualification
