Laughland Jones and Design Forum are two expanding companies.
LJ is a high end interior design company with a unique client base of high net worth individuals in the UK and throughout Europe. DF is a furnishing textile business within 80/20 UK/Export client base.
A further company is currently under development for an autumn launch to the furniture e-commerce market.
Exciting times require an individual to control all aspects of finance and to contribute commercially and oversee the successful expansion of the company as a whole.
This is a very hands on role that requires an ambitious individual looking to grow in a company that is really going places.
This role will develop into a managing director role within the next few years.

Job Description
Overall finance management of both companies and the third company later this year.
Due to our current size all aspects of the financial day to day processing needs to be managed carefully and delegated to a more junior member of staff.

Duties include:
• Posting sales/purchase invoices
• Posting bank receipts/payments
• Weekly update of the cash forecast
• Management Accounts and other monthly reports
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Overseeing year end processes with our accountants
• Building relationships with the bank and other external stakeholders
• Overseeing the monthly collation of the payroll
• Preparing journals
• Active management of overheads
• Working capital management
• Responsible for all journals and final ledger balances
• Preparations of budgets, forecasts

Skills Required:
• Good all round finance background
• CIMA/ACCA Part qualified/qualified
• Excellent all round computer skills
• Must have access to own vehicle
