Finance Assistant
Based: Canterbury
Salary: £20,183
Hours: Full Time, 37½ hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm


The London Institute of Banking & Finance was founded in 1879 as the Institute of Bankers and is today a leading international provider of financial education. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, customer focused and self-motivated Finance Assistant to join our busy Finance team in Canterbury. You will be the first point of contact for customer queries coming into the department by telephone and email. Responsibilities include chasing outstanding debts, inputting sales invoices, monthly production of customer statements and management debtor reports. Support will be required for the cash management and purchase ledger functions.

The successful candidate would ideally have a minimum of two years’ experience of working in a Finance team with previous credit control experience, a working knowledge of accounting systems, Microsoft Excel and Outlook, be able to work efficiently to tight deadlines and demonstrate excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills.

The recruitment process will include a skills assessment, including a short excel exercise.
