Community Health Activator
Average 37 hours per week.
Based at the Stour Centre.
Salary up to £24,000 per annum
Ashford Leisure Trust is looking for a Community Health Activator to lead and develop our Exercise on Referral scheme, community based activities and contribute to the improved health of the boroughs residents.
As a Health Activator you will understand the health priorities of the local community and be passionate about helping people to make positive changes to their lifestyle in order to improve health and wellbeing. Your work will be based both within the community and Trust facilities and will focus on helping people to become more active and healthy.
You will be working in partnership with a range of organisations to tackle health inequalities and improve the health and wellbeing of residents within the borough of Ashford.
The ideal candidate should hold a relevant GP Referral Qualification or equivalent and will need excellent organisational, communication and partnership working skills as well as the ability to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
This position is for an average of 37 hours per week, but will need to be flexible with your hours of work due to the nature of this role and have your own transport.
