Working for a Hotel located in the stunning countryside of Kent you will join a friendly team and provide the smooth running of services and a high standard of production by managing your section.
Responsibilities:
* Works autonomously to produce dishes in compliance with cooking instructions
* Supervises the commis chefs' and Demi Chef de Partie work
* Is responsible for the organisation, coordination and service for one area of the kitchen
* Helps the Sous Chef and Head Chef with daily ordering
* Assists in monthly stock takes
* Ensures that dishes are well presented, of a high standard and at the right temperature
* Delivers dishes in good time to suit guests' wishes Receive, check and store deliveries
* Organises work and timing to suit fluctuations in guest numbers, special events and particular guests
* Trains commis chefs, apprentices and interns to a high standard "Management and administration
* Is actively involved in meeting the department's targets:
* Helps conduct inventories
* Helps manage stocks of equipment by avoiding breakages
* Ensures that the workplace remains clean and the safety of consumable goods by always respecting HACCP regulations
It is essential that you have previous experience either as a Commis Chef or Demi Chef De Partie looking for a step up with at least City & Guilds certification, BTEC or NVQ in cooking. Alternatively you will already be working as a Chef de Partie. Ideally you will have worked for within the hotel environment.
