JOB TITLE: Production Technicians
SCOPE:
The manufacture of electronic assemblies to a skilled level (specific work area).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
General standard of education required.
Experience within electronic manufacturing environment – not essential but preferred.
IPC-A-610D Qualification preferred
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
To be aware of company health and safety requirements.
To understand and implement necessary anti-static precautions.
To be competent in building PCB’s up to flow solder stage, either by use of Mascott tables or by hand.
To be competent is operating the PCB cropping machine prior to flow soldering.
To be able to operate the flow solder machine to a basic level.
To be fully competent in all areas of hand soldering techniques.
To understand manufacturing documents and follow specific instructions.
To be competent in wiring techniques for PCB assembly.
To follow instructions as indicated on BOM and route cards.
To understand IPC (best practice) standards with regard to own area.
