We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer who will be chartered or working towards Chartered Engineer status with experience in delivery of water based network and/or treatment related projects to join our busy Engineering Team.



The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the technical deliverables on Projects working under direction from the Lead MEICA Engineer and ensuring compliance with company standards.



The ability to work as part of a team, mentor junior staff, developing efficient solutions and stakeholder relations will be key to this role.



Responsibilities & Duties include:

* Ensuring technical delivery meets project objectives in terms of health & safety, quality and efficiency targets

* Management of junior engineers providing mentoring as required

* Find innovative ways of delivering more output for less cost

* Advise on appropriate inputs for programmes, estimates and contract preparation

* Manage and liaise with contractors and sub-contractors working in an integrated design team

* Liaise with customers, internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery and to maintain and enhance the reputation of South East Water

* Liaison internally at all levels with the Department and with external stakeholders



The successful candidate will hold a HNC/HND or a Degree in Engineering or have equivalent training and substantial experience in the relevant area.



To succeed in this role you should have good technical report writing skills, good oral communication, strong organisational skills and a positive attitude.



Although this role is office based you will be expected to travel to any location within our supply areas, as required, as part of the project(s) you are working on e.g. pre-construction and construction phase elements such as scoping or Contractor progress/design review meetings.
