Established firm of chartered accountants is looking for an experienced staff member who enjoys all aspects of bookkeeping. Your Bookkeeper role will involve you in working with a wide range of clients and taking care of their bookkeeping, VAT and management accounting needs.

Using Sage, QuickBooks and Kashflow, you will complete bookkeeping, submit VAT returns, and assist in the preparation of small company accounts and P11Ds for year-end. As part of this process you will work with your clients to answer queries and assist them with their understanding of the bookkeeping process. You will set up VAT online for clients and respond to queries and correspond with HMRC.

This is a team-based Bookkeeper role, providing a high level of customer service; and you will receive support to achieve this. There may be opportunities to provide cover for the payroll team during holidays or busy periods.

To be considered for this Bookkeeper position, a broad understanding of bookkeeping and associated areas is essential. It is highly preferable that you have some working experience within an accountancy practice in order to understand the work flows, procedures and deadlines involved. A recognised bookkeeping, or AAT qualification would be highly beneficial.
