We are looking to recruit new permanent part time and full time stylists.

These positions are due to expansion of our strong team of 4 stylists and apprentice and we are looking for stylists who will fit in with our existing team, providing an exceptional service to the clients. We are a unisex salon using Goldwell products, catering to all age ranges.

The ideal candidate should have a broad range of styling and barbering experience, with up to date knowledge of cutting and colouring techniques. They should also have a minimum of Level 2 qualifications with 1-2 years post qualification experience.

All team members take part in all salon activities from booking appointments, reception duties to washing towels and providing exceptional hair services, so a hands on and get stuck in attitude is essential.

We are recruiting for both part and full time positions and are able to offer flexibility to suit people’s different circumstances e.g. hours to suit family commitments.

Job Particulars
• Provide exceptional customer service, greeting clients to the salon as well as handling enquiries by telephone, face to face, email and online
• Perform hair style consultations in order to decide what services the client needs
• Provide services to clients such as shampooing, cutting, styling, perming, setting and colouring as desired
• Maintain safety standards and cleanliness
• Assist your fellow stylists with preparing clients for and during the service being provided, this may include neutralizing, removing colours, shampooing and blow drying hair
• Emphasize product benefits and assist clients in the selection of retail products or services for their hair care needs
• Maintain a consistent relationship with client base in order to ensure returning clients
• Proactively develop new customers
• Attend and participate in continuing education and training in order to follow new trends and techniques
• Housekeeping, keeping salon tidy, washing etc

Person Specification
• Must have thorough knowledge of hair styles, hair care products and related procedures
• Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills

Applicants will initially be contacted by telephone to discuss specific availability and suitability. Interviews will be conducted with a member of the existing team present as well as the owner of the salon. After successful interview applicants will be invited to do trade tests where you would be required to arrange your own model/models to demonstrate ability and techniques.
