LIFEGUARDS
Herons Leisure Centre, Herne Bay & Kingsmead Leisure Centre, Canterbury

PERMANENT or CASUAL – up to 39 hours per week
£7.15 or £7.50* per hour (£9.12 when undertaking Duty Manager duties)
equivalent to the full-time salary of £14,544/£15255* (£18,553 per annum)

We are looking for responsible and reliable individuals whose key duties will be ensuring that our swimmers are safe and our customers are looked after, whilst also keeping the centre clean and preparing the activity areas for our busy programme.

There is also the opportunity for experienced lifeguards to be considered for a more senior role which, in addition to the above, deputises for and assumes the role of Duty Manager when required.

Applications are invited from NPLQ qualified lifeguards, who can demonstrate the right attitude, experience of responsibility and a long-term commitment to this role.

What you'll need:
• a valid Lifeguard qualification
• an interest in working in the Leisure Sector
• a mature and hard-working attitude with the desire to learn and develop
• to be reliable, flexible and honest
• a professional yet friendly manner and a genuine interest in working with the public
• the ability to remain calm under pressure and within a busy environment

for those interested in a more senior role, the following will also be required:
• experience of working as a lifeguard
• a proven capability for responsibility, particularly with regards to colleagues and customers

Fully funded training leading to the National Pool Plant Operator Certificate will be provided, as appropriate, for the successful applicant/s.
