We are on the lookout for an experienced and talented mid-weight designer to join our team full time.
Ideally you will have previous experience in an agency environment working across a range of media covering all types of print and digital over a number of sectors. Experience of responsive & UX design, social content and infographics etc. would be advantageous. You will be required to juggle multiple projects on a regular basis, so the ability work under pressure whilst being ultra-organised is a must. Using job tracking systems such as Team Week and Basecamp will be required.
We need someone who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment and uses their versatility and creative flair to benefit our growing portfolio of clients.
You will be responsible for taking projects from brief to final output, working both with the team and individually. No day is the same at Pillory Barn. One day you may be working on a website design and the next day you will be working on signage for one of our many events. Responsibilities
• Creative and accurate artworking (print and digital)
• Producing designs from a blank sheet from brief
• Liaising with suppliers and partners (printers, photographers etc.)
• Managing client expectation
• Reporting to Studio Lead
• Taking part in creative brainstorm sessions within the team
Key skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator) others are a bonus
• Ability to take supplied concepts and deliver final designs
• The ability to communicate clearly, both written and verbal
• Willingness to learn and find solutions, not problems
• Excellent time-keeping
• Understanding of design and print process
• Not required, but a positive asset – video, animation and illustration

• Strong portfolio of previous work
• Great time management and ability to multi-task
• Creative flair and demonstrable design skills
• Ability to work in a team and take direction and critique
• Versatile approach to projects
• Attention to detail with high level of accuracy
• Use of a car
• Great sense of humour
• Approachable
This is a full-time position. Regular working hours are 9am - 5pm and on occasion there will be a requirement to work overtime as projects hit busier periods.
