We are looking for an experienced finance person to join our team in Maidstone - depending on the level of experience you have, this position could be directly as our Finance Manager, or if you have less experience then we are also considering recruiting at an Assistant level and providing further training for the right candidate. The successful candidate will have accounting or finance qualifications and/or relevant work experience - formal qualifications are not essential if you can demonstrate the right level of capability. You must be able to deal with all aspects of day-to-day accounting using Xero Cloud Accounting and have advanced Excel skills

You will be expected to deal with all aspects of sales and purchase ledgers, coding and keying of invoices, making payments, dealing with queries, credit control, accruals, bank reconciliations, preparation of management accounts, budgets and financial plans. At year end you will be expected to complete the year end auditing tasks and prepare the P&L and balance sheet for submission to the external accountants for finalisation of the statutory accounts in both France and the UK.

In this role, you will eventually become an integral part of the business with responsibility for internal projects and business analysis, pricing and financial modelling. You will also be required to supervise the daily work of the finance administrator.

The salary and the overall package is negotiable depending on the individual - we are ideally looking for an experienced person who can step straight into the manager position from Day 1 - but we can also consider less experienced candidates who have the right attitude and desire to develop and support them to complete accountancy training.
