Checkmate is fast becoming one of the most admired designers and manufacturers of height safety equipment in the World. Now into its fourth decade, Checkmate is still very much a family business with four key trading areas: Safety, Lifting, Flexible Engineering and Energy.
In order to drive our growth strategty to the next level we are now looking for a looking for creative credible and suitably qualifed and experienced marketing coordinator to enhance our brand and build our presence online, across all divisions.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, this role is a great first step into a marketing career where you will be making a difference to our business from day one. Whilst we can develop and support you in all aspects of analogue/physical marketing, you will need to arrive fully skilled to be our Subject Matter Expert in all aspects of digital marketing, from day one.
KEY TASKS
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for executing Checkmates’s annual marketing plan across all divisions, with particular emphasis on digital marketing. This role will work closely with internal team members and an external marketing consultant to implement marketing initiatives, ensuring the consistent application of corporate branding across all media and maximising the exposure of the Checkmate brand to potential and existing customers.
• Uploading and updating existing websites to ensure product and service information is accurate and current
• Managing and building social media profiles and feeds
• Creating marketing emails.
• Creating new content (web copy, social media posts)
• Managing and building client databases
• Analysing digital data to report on the success of digital marketing activities
• Supporting the team in campaign delivery, planning, coordination and logistics of exhibition resources
• Ensures accuracy, availability and consistent application of corporate branding of promotional materials
Skills and Competencies
• Keen understanding of and facility with the digital and technology landscape, particularly social media
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English
• Professional and well-presented – prepared to be client-facing
• Organised and self-disciplined, with an ability to multi-task and consistently hit deadlines
• Driven, motivated and has meticulous attention to detail
• Sound qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
• Strong sense of initiative and ability to work under pressure
• High energy with a friendly personality
• Able to use the Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
• Able to create and upload new copy and images to website and social media
• Minimum Level 3 qualification in marketing or 1st degree with significant marketing content
