Our client a very successful academic establishment in the Ashford area has asked us to help recruit Teaching Assistants to commence on a temporary to permanent basis working term time only.
This is an opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding role with the potential for further career development within education.
Responsibilities:
• To be able to form and maintain positive relationships with children and young people enabling them to access and engage with the curriculum and social activities of the school.
• Contribute effectively to teaching & learning for all pupils/students through on-going and robust planning, monitoring and recording.
• To maintain the behaviour policy of the school and uphold the high expectations and high standards the school sets.
• To be proactive in raising aspirations and expectations of all students through personal presentation, quality engagement and the imparting of knowledge.
• To attend and contribute positively to internal and external meetings when required, representing the high standards of the school.
• Contribute effectively to the learning environment, undertaking tasks such as updating relevant displays and ensuring pupil/student work is celebrated.
• To promote health, wellbeing and resilience in all of our pupils and students.
• To complete or undertake, to the standard required, any other tasks or duties as required by the Senior Leadership Team.
Personal Qualities and Attributes:
This position requires the following personal qualities and attributes:
• To contribute and be part of the Christian ethos of the school and be positive towards the school’s goals. This position must enjoy completing their work in a professional and positive manner, relish solving problems and take pride in helping people.
• To communicate effectively, professionally and in a friendly manner with staff, pupils/students and parents.
• To be an ambassador for the school in dealing with external persons, and to be an admired and respected member of the team by internal staff and pupils/students.
• To enjoy helping others and be able to cope with work pressure points, disruptions and things going wrong in a professional, calm and measured manner.
• To be highly motivated and to have a flexible approach towards work and working hours.
• To be educated to a minimum of 5 GCSEs (A*-C) including English and Mathematics (or equivalent).
• To be willing and enthusiastic in undertaking continuing professional development.
The hours of work will be 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
The salary will be on a scale from £60/day
