Working for an established Insurance Broker in Faversham you will need to accurately confirm and collate information provided by customers in order to quote for New Business. You are expected to be part of the team and as such your role may occasionally alter to help others complete their duties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Question customers effectively to ensure New Business premium is based on the correct information.
• Identify further selling opportunities and be able to close business effectively.
• Ensure that Customer is scripted correctly.
• Assist the team in completing objectives to include the monthly targets.
• Explain the features and benefits of policies to customers.
• To demonstrate a positive, enthusiastic, committed and flexible attitude towards customers and other team members, recognise the
importance and benefits of effective team work.
• Deliver customer service in line with ‘best practice’ and ensure compliance in treating customers fairly.
• To comply with the Data Protection Act
• To actively follow company policies.
• To carry out any other duties within the scope of the job as requested by your Manager
• To maintain accurate records on customer files and customer confidentiality.
• Attend team and staff meetings as and when necessary.

Essential Skills:

• Display patience and politeness to customers.
• Ability to communicate with both customers and colleagues at all levels of seniority.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with Insurers.
• Good team working skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Proven desire to update product knowledge and skill set when necessary.
• Awareness of the Data Protection Act.
• You will enjoy meeting targets and have determination and the drive to succeed.
• PC Skills are essential as are strong communication and time management skills
• Good oral communication skills and organisation skills.
• Sales desire and work ethic to show a consistent performance.
• Confidence to seek guidance from your team when appropriate.
• Maintain a professional attitude.
• Good standard of Education required
• Insurance experience desired.

Full Training will be given

Hours are 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday with 1 late shift 10.30 am -7 pm (once trained)
Every other Saturday 9am – 1pm.

Auto enrolment into Pension
