DO YOU HAVE AN IT TECHNICAL BACKGROUND, PLUS PROCUREMENT OR PROJECT MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE??

Experienced technical person to manage the procurement of business applications and software for my Tunbridge Wells based client, including researching systems, suppliers and costs whilst working to budgets.

IT/technical background, including good knowledge of cloud based systems, along with experience of managing projects (although this is not a PM role).

Must be personable, with the ability to talk to technical and non-technical people, and provide training to colleagues as necessary. Technical knowledge to 2nd line support level, to be able to assist with helpdesk queries if required.

Main duties to include:
• Project managing the procurement of applications for business processes within the company
• Researching costs and functionality
• Presenting results of research to management
• Assisting with IT support of the applications
• Training staff on new systems
• Building relationships with suppliers

Skills/experience required include (but are not limited to):
• Good IT/technical background (to 2nd line level)
• Project management knowledge/experience
• Good knowledge of cloud based systems in project management systems, helpdesk, sales systems and various business process applications
• Ability to build good relationships with suppliers and colleagues
• Personable with excellent communication skills
• Ability to talk about technology to a non-technical audience
• Very good organisational skills, and able to prioritise workload
• Some experience in Microsoft Exchange/Azure /365, would be advantageous
• Excellent MS Office skills
