Peripatetic Peer Support Co-Ordinator –Kent – £23,500 to £28,800 per Annum – Full Time, Permanent
Our client currently has an exciting opportunity for a Peer Support Coordinator working across their Kent Prisons services including HMP Maidstone, Rochester and East Sutton Park. The successful candidate will be required to work flexibly across those units, working closely with the Drug and Alcohol Practitioners to coordinate Peer Support across the different teams.

The Role
Working alongside their successful teams of Drug and Alcohol Practitioners and Health Professionals you will be providing training to clients to become Peer supporters and take a lead in motivating and encouraging client’s involvement. One of the key targets will be measuring outcomes, so co-operative working relationships with other partner agencies is vital to this role.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social or equivalent, experience and knowledge of supporting clients with substance misuse issues, a good understanding of recovery and the criminal justice system.
HMP East Sutton Park has limited access by public transport and requires access to own means of transport.
They will consider applications from candidates with a Nursing and/or Criminal Justice background and applications from candidates who are themselves in recovery will be welcomed.
