Bradstow is a creative and unique residential school for children between the ages of 5 & 19. It is situated in 13 acres of parkland just a few hundred metres from the sandy beaches of Broadstairs. We seek to meet the needs of children and young people with autism and severe learning difficulties with associated behaviours that may be challenging. We have achieved national recognition for our developments in Communication and Behaviour Management.
For all posts we look for candidates who are mature, warm, creative and open to learning with a patient and caring attitude to deal sensitively with vulnerable children.
The purpose of this post is to undertake laundry and general cleaning duties and maintain an acceptable standard of cleanliness and hygiene at Bradstow and associated annexes.
Duties Comprise:
• General Housework including vacuum cleaning, dusting, buffing and carpet shampooing.
• The washing, drying and ironing (where appropriate) of school bedding, linen, towels and student’s clothing etc
• Washing of paintwork, floors, etc.
• Polishing brass, glass and furniture.
• Daily cleaning of bathrooms, showers and toilet areas, dining areas, classrooms, gym and other school areas.
• Such other non-recurring duties, appropriate to the post as may be directed.
