This represents a great opportunity for you to join an ambitious firm of Accountants & Business Advisors. The firm is seeing sustained growth, and is now looking to recruit an experienced Manager to develop systems and workflows to take the firm forward and ensure quality.

The firm provides much more than just accounts, with Client Managers meeting customers regularly to provide analysis, technical advice and guidance. The firm uses some outsourced bookkeeping services which are very effective. These work in conjunction with the team of in-house bookkeepers and experienced accounts assistants to process accounts, VAT, tax returns and payrolls. This new Manager role is very much to support the Client Managers by ensuring that all the transactional and compliance aspects of the work are completed accurately and efficiently.

With this in mind, the firm are looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager from a commercial background rather than accountancy practice. You will need to have managed teams before, preferably in medium or large-scale transaction processing departments. The ability to analyse and improve workflows is essential and where necessary provide training. The ideal outcome is to “get it right, first time, every time”. A strong understanding of the structures and deadlines of statutory and management accounts is essential.

This is an interesting new position, which will develop over time as your new methods and training have a real effect.
