£31,532 per annum (includes London weighting)
37.5 hours per week

Demelza Hospice Care for Children is a charity providing hospice services for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and support for their families across Kent, East Sussex and South East London.

Working as part of the Family Support Service, and providing a Social Work-focused support in partnership with a team of Family Support Workers, Therapists, Care Team, and volunteers.

You will hold a Dip SW, BA in Social Work, with a valid registration with Health Care Professionals Council.

You will have the ability to make assessments of needs and risks for children and families with the aptitude to identify and implement appropriate, effective tools and intervention.

You must have experience of working with children or young people with complex needs and their families and be able to show effective working partnerships with other professionals.

You will be able to demonstrate extensive applied working knowledge of safeguarding legislation for children and adults at risk and of effective caseload management.

You will hold a full driving licence and be willing to travel extensively throughout our region. Working 9:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday, with evening and weekend work required as part of an average of 37.5 hours per week.
