An exciting opportunity has arisen for an eager individual to use their charisma and sales acumen to help develop and grow Colin Batt Removals, an expanding, award winning and well respected family-run removals and storage company. We are recruiting for a passionate Sales and Move Surveyor to take responsibility for sales growth and deliver customer satisfaction.
As part of a small and tightly knit team, this new role will provide autonomy, leadership, customer interaction and account management. You will possess entrepreneurial vision and flair, excellent communication skills and be comfortable with dealing one-to-one with individual customers and large businesses. Naturally charismatic you will be able to build instant rapport with customers whilst having an eye for detail and numbers.
For this sales and surveyor role you will require empathy, soft sales skills, be a brand ambassador and be able to embody our core values of customer satisfaction and exemplary service. You will own your own business development pipeline, developing leads from initial contact through to contract signature. You will be required to visit customer’s houses and businesses, discuss and position our service, conduct volume estimation and price jobs. You will also be responsible for providing written quotations and closing the sale.
Experience of the domestic or commercial removals and storage industry would be an advantage but character and drive are more important. The job will require you to split your time between the office and visiting customers, for which you will have access to a fleet vehicle. The role will mainly be centred around the South-East of England but UK and European travel may be required from time-to-time. Usual hours are 8.30am-5.30pm but flexibility is required to meet customer demand.
A full and current driving licence is required for this role and a competitive salary plus bonus scheme is offered.
Job Details:
Handle incoming enquiries, advising on aspects of storage, removals and packing.
Negotiating price and prepare quotations and general admin.
Arranging and conducting removals and storage quotations, including on-site estimating.
Preparing bookings in/out of store.
Follow up with potential customers.
Updating info on bespoke removals software database.
Liaising with the Operations Manager to scheduling removals and removals jobs.
Proactive sales, contacting local business and marketing.
Assisting customers on-site.
Dealing with customer queries.
Must be adept with Microsoft word, Excel and Outlook.
Must have good attention to detail.
Good comms, empathy and be able to build rapport.
