The Historic Dockyard Chatham is looking for confident and outgoing people to join its Visitor Service team for the 2018 season. Visitor Service Assistants play a vital role in giving our visitors the best experience they could have during a trip to The Historic Dockyard.

Playing its part in over 400 years of Britain’s maritime history, The Historic Dockyard was the birth place of numerous famous ships, including HMS Victory. Today the Dockyard is a major visitor attraction in the South East of England, boasting world class galleries, an operational quarter of a mile long Victorian Ropery and three historic warships, including the last surviving Second World War Destroyer and a submarine from the Cold War. We are also an active film location and the home to Call the Midwife.

There are a number of opportunities coming up in the Visitor Service team in 2018, which include:
 Gallery Assistants
 Tour Guides
 Front of House and Retail
 Catering

We are looking for people who:
▪ Have great people skills and are GCSE educated (or equivalent);
▪ Work well in a team as well as being confident, outgoing and flexible;
▪ Enjoy new challenges and are friendly.

While a background in Customer Service would be beneficial it is not required as full training will be given to support your role.

Visitor Service Assistants work on a shift pattern roster, starting at 09.45 – 18.00 (high season) / 16.00 (low season) which will include working weekends and Bank Holiday’s.
