IT Continuity Analyst - Disaster Recovery (DR) - Major UK Insurer - Perm

Previous experience of planning and execution of DR tests, as well as Continuity and Resilience experience and Risk Management knowledge are required.

Job Description
This role will be pivotal in supporting the IT Service Continuity Management process, and maintaining the IT Disaster Recovery testing schedule across the business, and underlying supply chain.
Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
-Work with 3rd parties to help maintain IT Service Continuity tools, templates, processes, documentation and reports in accordance with industry good practice and minimum standard requirements.
-Coordinate and collaborate with 3rd party IT suppliers and internal stakeholders to produce, maintain and test service continuity plans aligned to an agreed testing schedule.
-Report to the business on the results of DR tests and any remediation action required.
-Provide support to embed continuity management in relevant service design, service transition and service operations processes including projects and Service Introduction.
-Support contract management to ensure 3rd party suppliers provide the recovery capability necessary to support agreed continuity plans.
-Advise and support the invocation of IT Service Continuity plans managed, by 3rd parties, while it is in operation.
-Contribute to reviews of continuity processes, tests and implementations and put in place remedial actions if required.
-Identify opportunities for continuously improving service resilience to drive cost and process efficiencies.
-As a member of the wider SI&O team; support operational priorities and assist other teams across the department where required. There may also be a requirement for business related travel.
-From time to time non-standard hours of work will be required to meet significant operational workload across SI&O e.g. Incidents or complex releases into the live environment.

The Successful Applicant
The IT Continuity Analyst that I am looking for MUST have experience working within a disaster recovery/continuity role within a large scale, corporate environment, ideally within the financial services industry.

You will understand the complexity of an IT landscape within a large, corporate environment, and have experience with the risk and governance element of this, besides disaster recovery, and business continuity.

It is essential that you are a clear and confident communicator who is able to manage stakeholders at a variety of levels..
