Cancer Support Coordinator- Involve Older People

Salary: Up to £22,000 pro rata
Hours: 15 per week worked flexibly
Contract: Fixed term
Length of contract: Three years

Purpose of job
This is a particularly rewarding role supporting the most isolated and vulnerable older people living with cancer for a three-year project funded by the Sobell Foundation. You will recruit, train and support a small team of volunteers to provide a specialist service in the community, providing emotional support, friendship, practical help and guidance to clients. This will include supporting people with their plans around end of life, liaison with other services and ensuring best practice in working with this client group. You will need experience of supporting and enabling people, ideally those living with health conditions or at end of life, a caring, empathetic approach alongside an ability to work within professional boundaries and adhere to policies and procedures.

You will need a car and a driving licence.
