My client is looking for an Engineering Manager to join their busy and expanding organisation based in Sittingbourne.
You will form an integral part of the Management team by leading a multi functional engineering team across production facility to maximise machine efficiency to include responsibility for all site services and contractor control.

The Role: Engineering manager

* The development and implementation of a computerised PPM System.
* The collection and analysis of production and process data
* The management, motivation and development of the team, through performance review to ensure delivery of team objectives.
* Provision of engineering expertise to facilitate Continuous Improvement across the Site.
* The development of systems and standards to deliver world-class standards of workplace organisation within the engineering environment.
* Procurement of engineering materials, goods and services, in line with working capital targets.
* The design, implementation and management of capital improvement projects.
* Effective interdepartmental liaison to achieve defined objectives to optimise efficiency.

Skills / Experience / Qualifications: Engineering Manager

* A minimum of HNC engineering qualification (or equivalent).
* Experience of running a PPM System.
* Proven track record of strong management of a maintenance team.
* The ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business, verbal and written.
* The ability to understand, accept and achieve targets and deadlines.
* Knowledge of Continuous Improvement Processes.
* A recognised management/supervisory Qualification, such as ILM Level 3.
* Demonstrable organisational skills.
* Leadership and people management skills
* Demonstrable ability to implement structured problem solving techniques, provide solutions and delegate responsibility.
* Recognised Health and Safety Qualification e.g. NEBOSH.
* Experience of project management
* Experience of departmental budgeting & cost control.
* Experience of PLC systems.
* Experience with Heavy Plant.
