They are an an international public relations firm that specialises in emerging technology and disruptive businesses based in Tunbridge Wells, New York and Berlin so they work with people like OpenX, Oath, Evidon and many more.



As an account manager you’ll ultimately be responsible for driving an account by executing strategy and ensuring that programmes are being adhered to and that your accounts are well organised. You’ll be fully in control of the media tools in order to create media coverage in all PR areas.



Client Delivery and Strategy


You’ll ensure that all communication with clients and all outgoing communication is of the highest quality
You’ll lead meetings and ensure the preparation for the meeting is well organised and the account directors or senior account managers are fully briefed beforehand
You’ll play a central role in the team and taking full responsibility for your clients and managing any problems
You’ll develop and maintain useful and relevant business contacts
You’ll develop an understanding of financial controls on all accounts, mark-up rules and budgeting procedures
You’ll take a key role in presentations to existing clients and at new business pitches
You’ll participate in new business brainstorms and contribute a creative input in all new business pitches within account team



Media Planning and Execution


You’ll develop a full understanding of how the media works in the particular areas in which you operate, the opportunities available, and build relationships with journalists.
You’ll drive the media relations programme for clients as laid out in the agreed programme of activity with your senior account manager or account director
You’ll pro-actively seek out publicity opportunities to ensure the maximum level of coverage is achieved for your client
You’ll plan and manage events ranging from workshops, photo calls, press conferences, and training days etc. on behalf of your clients
You’ll negotiate major media promotions and advertorials where required
You’ll also alert your clients to risky PR situations and provide high-level advice on strategic issues and media handling issues including crisis management
You’ll writw creative new business proposals with direction from senior account manager or account director, and draft evaluation reports, speeches, and presentations as required as well as drafting and overseeing the drafting of feature copy for trade, corporate, and business publications for clients, ensuring it is well informed and appropriate
