Hadlow Rural Community School is a new Free School which opened on 1st September 2013. The School moved into its purpose built facilities in September 2016 and offers a unique educational opportunity to students in Hadlow itself and across the wider local area. It is sponsored by and situated on the campus of Hadlow College, the outstanding land-based college.
We have an exciting opening at the school for a self-motivated and highly effective individual to support the PA to Headteacher in the day-to-day management of the School Office.
The role will involve a range of secretarial and general administration duties, including typing of correspondence, responding to emails, photocopying and filing and dealing with any student issues relating to administrative tasks as well as working with the School management information system (SIMS). In addition, the post holder will be the first point of contact for visitors to the school and will deal with all general enquiries which come through reception.
The successful candidate will provide support to the PA to the Headteacher in monitoring student absence, coordinating school trips and events together with helping to produce, update and distribute Hadlow Rural Community School communications.
Excellent organisation, time management, and the ability to work well as part of a team, as well as on their own initiative are also essential, as is the willingness to be trained as a First Aider for the school. It would also be beneficial if candidates had a good understanding of Microsoft products such as Word and Excel.
This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday 8.30am – 4.30pm during term time only. Flexibility will be required as the role also involves attending school events outside of normal school hours to provide administrative support.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
