Part Time Credit Controller/Receptionist
15 hours per week over 2 days
£10-£12 per hour depending on experience (£19500-£23400 pro rata)
An opportunity has arisen to join a busy and well established accountancy practice based in South East London. The practice has been established for almost 50 years and has a very strong client base across many different business sectors. The business has grown considerably over the last few years and all growth is as a result of the high level of service we provide.
The successful candidate will have a good level of credit control experience, be presentable, confident and able to organise their working time to effectively meet deadlines and show high levels of accuracy.
Essentials:
• Strong credit control experience
• Solid experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• A good overall level of IT literacy
• Welcoming reception/telephone manner
• Experience and willingness to undertake administrative duties within a busy office
Desirables:
• Sage Accounts/Sage Line 50 experience/knowledge
• IRIS Accountancy Suite experience/knowledge
Duties:
• Credit Control one day per week
• Reconciling and chasing debtors by telephone & email
• Updating and maintaining client records in Sage
• Collating information regarding all incoming payments
• General office administration tasks, inc switchboard cover & filing
• Reception cover one day per week (Monday)
• Answering the main switchboard telephone
• Meeting and greeting all clients
• Opening, logging & distributing mail arriving by post/courier
• Liaising with clients by telephone to request accounting information
• Liaising with HMRC regarding client information
The ideal candidate will have:
• Confidence in dealing with clients in a professional manner
• A flexible approach to working days where cover is needed in times of staff holidays and at busier times of the year
• Be systematic, methodical and accurate when producing output
• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with evidence of good organisational experience
