We are looking for two Estates Apprentices to work as part of the Betteshanger Estates and Facilities team. The team are responsible for managing and maintaining the Park and facilities to an excellent standard. You will be required to undertake practical land management work across the estate, ensuring that the Park is clean, tidy and that the general public have a safe and positive experience during their visit.
We are looking for a hardworking, team orientated and dedicated individual who is willing to learn and be part of a friendly team. A passion for working in the outdoors and for developing a career in land management is essential!
As an apprentice you will undertake a Level 2 or 3 Diploma in work-based horticulture (Parks, Garden and Greenspaces). The apprenticeship structure has been designed by industry and will be delivered through Hadlow College.
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Betteshanger team and develop a range of skills and experience to ideally prepare you for a career in Horticulture. Based at the Betteshanger site in Deal, Kent, this is a full time position working 40 hours per week, including one day per week of study.

Betteshanger Sustainable Parks, near Deal in East Kent, is a unique and ambitious project. Led by the Hadlow Group, the scheme is a series of exemplary environmentally sustainable projects, which is being built on the 121-hectare site of the former Betteshanger Colliery.
Betteshanger Park, a major international visitor destination, forms a key part of the wider Betteshanger vision. The new £10m Visitor Centre, scheduled to open in 2018, comprises the Kent Mining Museum, green energy centre, cycling, catering, conferencing and retail facilities – all set within an outstanding country park environment.
Betteshanger Business Park will create a new economic hub for East Kent, combining high quality commercial space for industries linked with green technologies, food technology and production, health and wellbeing and life science. This will be supported through a programme of training and formal educational opportunities delivered through the Hadlow Group.
