The Salvatori Group is one of the leading transport and logistics providers in Kent, offering full package services to a whole range of customers from single pallets to full loads or for a special project.
We are currently looking for:
Class 2 Multi Drop Drivers
Salary: Up to £600 per week on target earnings
Based at: Sittingbourne (Please note that this position will be based at our depot in Rochester before relocation to Sittingbourne in December 2017)
Job type: Full time, permanent
Job role: Multi drop delivery and collection of pallets.
Hours of work: As business requires, general operating hours are between 07.00 and 19.00, 5 days per week as per EU tacho hours. Weekend work may also be required.
Key responsibilities:
• To drive Category C vehicle safely, legally and efficiently as required
• To comply with all drivers hours and Road Transport Directive legislation
• To load and unload vehicle and maintain safety and security of load at all times
• To carry out all necessary checks to ensure vehicle is safe and legal and to follow appropriate procedures
• To act as a company ambassador when dealing with and contacting customers
• To complete all paperwork promptly and accurately as required, including scanners, hand held POD etc
• To plan and adapt routes as necessary and feedback to the traffic office on any issues around load planning and routing
• To operate all vehicle systems including tail lifts
• To comply with all Health & Safety requirements in depot, on road and at customers’ premises and to take responsibility for ensuring own fitness to drive at all times
