An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a new Head of Faculty for Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering and Fisheries who will lead, manage, support, develop and motivate a team of Team Leaders, Commercial Managers, Course Managers/Personal Tutors and Lecturers in setting targets and monitoring progress to ensure successful outcomes for all learners.
The postholder will develop and implement, in liaison with the Vice Principal Curriculum, commercial resources which demonstrate best practice and effectively support students in their learning and employability skills. They will ensure that assessment and internal verification takes place for all courses delivered by the Faculty and that the quality of courses meets all the requirements of awarding bodies.
Applicants must have a degree level qualification or equivalent, plus a teaching qualification and substantial experience of leading and motivating staff. They should have industry experience in at least one area of the curriculum provision and demonstrate a proven ability to achieve challenging targets. A high level of communication, interpersonal and networking skills is also essential.
As well as a contributory pension scheme, health cash plan, salary sacrifice scheme and free car parking, this post also attracts seven weeks holiday each year (excluding bank holidays).
The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check and provide proof of their right to work in the UK. Where applicable, a prohibition check will be carried out.
