The new Transitions Supported Living Service in Maidstone offers a bespoke service to young people with Learning Disabilities and Autism who are in transition to Adult Services within a 3 year timeframe
This is a newly refurbished service within mcch providing an exciting opportunity to assist people in their daily lives to acquire new skills toward gaining greater independence. This will include assisting residents to access local services and appointments. Will also involve accompanying the residents to social events, college, discos, gym and other community based activities in and around Tovil near Maidstone whilst promoting social inclusion and independence.
The successful candidates will have a positive outlook and be committed to supporting young people to be as independent as possible. Support will be provided in accordance with assessed needs and wishes and as a Support Assistant, you will seek to motivate and encourage people to develop new skills and interests and to actively participate in all areas of their life and community.
We offer a comprehensive induction programme together with ongoing training and development opportunities including opportunities to study for QCF through our own City and Guilds Vocational Development Centre.
All appointments are subject to enhanced DBS checks (provided free of charge)
