This is an exciting new instruction with a global manufacturing organisation and key employer within the area, for a Supply Chain Manager.

An extremely favourable basic salary/package is available for the right person.

The main purpose of the role is the management a team of Supply Planners who are responsible for the delivery of operational supply chain activities to achieve desired customer service levels.

This roles primary KPI is Stock Availability across a portfolio of products for Vendor Managed Inventory Distribution Centres within the European Region.

Through leadership of the team, the role has responsibility for creating executable packaging schedules, raw materials supply management, product lifecycle management and customer supply chain collaboration.

Principal internal interfaces are Regional Commercial (sales & marketing), Country customer service leads, Manufacturing/Packaging & Distribution) and Global supply chain managers. This role is part of the Site Leadership Team and as such, has a dotted line reporting structure into the Site Director.

Experience & Qualities we are seeking:

We are ideally looking for 5 years + of Supply Chain Planning.

Ideally degree educated in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management or related field.

APICS (or equivalent) certification preferred although non-essential.

Operational leadership role in Demand/Supply Planning (preferred) or Packaging/Warehouse Distribution.

Experience or at least an appreciation of, working within a regulated industry, cGMP and ISO Quality Standards.

Strong process and project management capabilities.

Strong people skills and the ability to build cross functional relationships.

Experience using data from multiple sources.

Strong IT proficiencies.

Experience of using ERP or a Planning System.

Essential Functions of the role:

The provision of operational leadership for the Supply Team and manage their performance and assure personal development of the team.

Ensure robust and standardised planning processes exist and implement rigorous daily management routines across all KPI’s to manage performance with monthly reporting.

Champion a continuous improvement mindset, systematically root causing and putting in place key actions and processes to avoid re-occurrence.

Relationship building with Operations team to create a robust D & OP plan and effective packaging plan to deliver the required customer service and inventory levels across the European and RoW distribution network in the most efficient manner.

Foster collaborative relationships with Customers by adopting an End to |End Supply Chain mindset. Own the customer supply agenda by ensuring that supply chain joint value creation with customers is captured and commercialised.

Maintain highly effective partnerships with Commercial and Customer Services re-enforced by a monthly S&OP forum and Consensus Forecasting process.

Take a leadership role in Supply Management activities, looking for opportunities to increase the flexibility and responsiveness of the supply chain.

Operate a highly effective Product Lifecycle Management process to support new product launches and Product Discontinuations.

Maintain a rigorous data management process, ensuring that high levels of data accuracy are achieved in supply chain and business systems (System 21, Oracle and Logility).

Lead cross functional projects as required and manage risk in the supply chain efficiency.
